Quality Control Chemist

I am currently partnered with a fragrance company in search of a Quality Control Chemist based in Florida. This opportunity would suit an experienced fragrance quality professional with a strong background in fragrance evaluation, analytical testing, raw material assessment, and quality control within a fragrance manufacturing environment. Requirements Experience within a fragrance, flavour, aroma chemical, or fragrance manufacturing environment Proven experience in raw material and finished fragrance quality evaluation Hands-on experience with GC-MS operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and analytical interpretation Experience with fragrance odor evaluation and organoleptic assessment Knowledge of quality systems, documentation, and non-conformance investigations Experience working with ISO 9001 standards preferred Experience with SAP QM preferred Strong understanding of fragrance raw materials and finished fragrance products Experience working closely with Perfumery, Quality, Regulatory, and Technical teams Degree in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, or a related discipline preferred Responsibilities Perform quality evaluation of fragrance raw materials, compounds, and finished products Conduct GC-MS analysis and interpret analytical results to support quality decisions Carry out olfactive assessments to ensure fragrance consistency and quality standards Investigate quality deviations, non-conformances, and out-of-specification results Maintain accurate quality documentation in line with internal standards and ISO requirements Support continuous improvement initiatives across quality processes Collaborate with Perfumery, Regulatory, Production, and Technical teams Support troubleshooting and root cause analysis for quality-related issues Skills Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent knowledge of fragrance ingredients and evaluation methods Experience interpreting GC-MS data High level of accuracy and attention to detail Ability to work collaboratively across technical and cross-functional teams Strong communication and organisational skills This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing fragrance organisation and play a key role in ensuring the quality, consistency, and performance of fragrance products across multiple applications. #J-18808-Ljbffr
