What You’ll Be Doing Leading estimates for mechanical piping systems (HVAC, hydronic, process piping) Producing detailed take‑offs from drawings and specifications Building full bid packages including labor, materials, and subcontractor pricing Engaging with vendors to drive competitive pricing Supporting value engineering and preconstruction strategy Working closely with PMs and field teams to ensure estimates are realistic and executable Playing a part in bid reviews and project win strategy What They’re Looking For Background in mechanical estimating, ideally focused on piping Experience pricing work within a mechanical subcontractor environment Strong understanding of systems, materials, and construction methods Comfortable working across multiple bids and deadlines Exposure to tools like Bluebeam, OST, Trimble, QuoteSoft, or similar Why It’s Worth a Conversation Strong pipeline of secured and upcoming work in Austin – not a “feast or famine” contractor Backed by a larger group, but still operates with flexibility and speed at a local level Projects that are actually interesting, not just repetitive TI work Leadership team that’s accessible, down‑to‑earth, and invested in developing people Clear progression into Senior Estimator / Preconstruction leadership Location Austin, TX #J-18808-Ljbffr LVI Associates
