Some Landscape Crew Members may specialize in either enhancement or maintenance work, but all Landscape Crew Members should be willing and able to perform either enhancement or maintenance work at the discretion of their supervisor. All employees are expected to carry out the company's purpose and demonstrate our core values.As a Landscape Crew Member you must be able to perform the following essential functions of the job:Assist Landscape Crew Leader in execution of landscape enhancement plans as instructed by the supervisor.Operating equipment including commercial zero-turn riding mowers, brake-controlled walk behind mowers, line trimmers, blowers, etc.Perform routine maintenance on equipment.Picking up trash and debris, as needed.Plant, lay sod, trim, prune as the job requires.Complete hardscape projects and outdoor lighting, as needed.Complete landscape and lawn installations, as needed.Perform any tasks related to lawn and landscape maintenance operations.Safely use various equipment including skid steer, mini excavator, sod cutters, bush hogs, brick saws, transits, various hand tools, etc.Perform snow removal in the winter months.Follow all company policies and procedures.Perform any other duties as assigned.JOB SKILLS AND PERSONAL CHARACTERISTICSAs a Landscape Crew Member, you will need to following job skills and personal characteristics:Availability to work a varied schedule including Saturdays, as neededAbility to work in adverse weather conditions including wet, rain, snow, or extreme heat or coldBasic understanding of mechanical equipment maintenanceAbility to identify plants, preferredAbility to read and follow landscape plansPOSITION REQUIREMENTSValid driver's license is preferred, with acceptable driving record to meet fleet insurance standardMust be able to pass a drug and alcohol testMust be able to move and/or lift up to 60 pounds consistentlyHigh school diploma or GED, preferredAbility to operate the equipment listed above, in addition to other commonly used landscaping equipmentWhy Schill Grounds Mgmt?We offer a competitive benefits package to protect you and your family, along with professional growth and advancement!COMPENSATION & BENEFITSWeekly payMedical, dental, and vision insuranceEmployer-paid life insurance401(k)Paid Time Off (PTO)Paid holidaysEmployee Assistance Program (EAP)WORK CONDITIONSEmployees performing this job should be able and willing to drive or travel locally if needed.
