About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Progressive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 1 year preferred License: Active nursing license in the state of practice Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH preferred Must-Have: Cardiovascular experience required Must Have: Charge experience preferred Must Have: Experience with telemetry and cardiac drips Description: The position is for a Progressive Care Unit nurse working nights. The unit has a capacity of 55 beds. The nurse will be responsible for the care of adults and geriatric patients. Patient ratios are typically 1:4. Weekend shifts are required as needed. Floating to like units may be required based on facility needs. The nurse will utilize a variety of skills including but not limited to: - Central line care and management - Management of dysrhythmias - Interpretation of cardiac telemetry - Blood product administration - Non-invasive airway management - Phlebotomy The unit will provide interdisciplinary support services including respiratory therapy, physical therapy, and social services. Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in managing patients with cardiovascular diagnoses. The environment is fast-paced and requires effective communication and teamwork skills. All candidates must be prepared to fulfill job responsibilities efficiently and compassionately.
