Contract | Travel | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | 13-Week Assignment | 36 Hours per Week Guaranteed | Every Other or Every Third Weekend Required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to adult and geriatric patients on a 22-bed Telemetry/Med-Surg unit with patient ratios of 5:1 or 6:1
• Monitor and interpret telemetry and EKG readings, escalating concerns appropriately
• Manage patient admissions and discharges efficiently within unit workflow
• Administer and monitor basic cardiac drips and IV therapy using Baxter IV pumps
• Utilize Meditech EMR for accurate and timely documentation of patient care
• Float to Med/Surg overflow areas as needed and collaborate with charge nurses and clinical staff leads

Required Qualifications

• Active RN licensure in good standing
• Minimum 1.5 years of experience in Medical Surgical or Telemetry nursing
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Associate degree in Nursing required
• Ability to float within the unit as needed

Preferred Experience / Skills

• BSN preferred
• Experience with Meditech EMR
• EKG interpretation skills and strong critical thinking ability
• Familiarity with common diagnoses including CHF, COPD, ARF, CKD, uncontrolled diabetes, chest pain, and post-cardiac cath care
