FLOOR TECHNICIAN (FULL TIME)

Job Details Position: Floor Technician (Full Time) Location: 975 Powder Plant Road, Bessemer, AL 35022 (Online applications only) Requirement: Prior experience operating floor machines and spill cleanup experience preferred. Fixed Pay Rate: $15.80 per hour. Pay increases of $0.25 every 30 days during the first 90 days, up to $16.80 per hour within the first 6 months. Additional annual increases may apply. Job Summary Floor Technician is responsible for floor maintenance, restoration, and the operation of industrial floor care equipment. Essential Functions Maintains knowledge of principles of hard-surface floor maintenance and uses proper procedures on hard floor care including stripping and refinishing, burnishing, spray cleaning, and spray buffing. Operates various types of industrial floor care equipment. Utilizes automated equipment for cleaning large areas of floor surface. Uses proper procedures on carpet and upholstery including shampooing, damp surface rinsing, extractions, spot cleaning, vacuuming, etc. Performs maintenance and restorative processes for all floor surface types. Other duties as assigned by manager. Qualifications Previous experience as a floor care technician or in a related role preferred. Proven knowledge of floor care equipment and techniques required. Knowledge and ability to follow safety procedures. Requires frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling of up to 50 lbs.
