Are you organized, detail-oriented, and interested in the legal system? We are seeking a Courtroom Assistant I to support daily courtroom operations and help ensure legal proceedings run efficiently and professionally.

What You'll Do
- Support judges and court staff during courtroom proceedings.
- Maintain courtroom order and assist participants throughout hearings.
- Administer oaths and assist jurors, witnesses, attorneys, and members of the public.
- Process court cases and update information within the case management system.
- Prepare court dockets and review case files for completeness and accuracy.
- Coordinate interpreters, attorneys, probation officers, and other legal participants.
- Research criminal and traffic histories and respond to case-related inquiries.
- Process legal documents, appeals, exhibits, and court records.
- Schedule hearings and future court dates while monitoring compliance requirements.
- Assist with jury administration, legal documentation, and courtroom logistics.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Minimum of three years of experience in an administrative, legal, judicial, public service, records management, or related professional environment.
- Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered.
- Experience working with confidential information and detailed documentation preferred.
