Job Details Position: Registered Nurse – Mother/Baby / Postpartum / Couplet Care Employment Type: Travel Nursing Location: Seattle, Washington 98122 Assignment Length: 13 weeks Shift: 12-hour night shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM Schedule Options: 3x12 or 4x12, traveler choice Weekly Hours: 36 Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,940 - $2,040 Float Requirement: May float to nearby postpartum and labor & delivery units as needed Weekend Coverage: Required Start Date: 10/19/2026 Job Requirements Active Registered Nurse license At least 2 years of Mother/Baby, postpartum, or high-acuity postpartum nursing experience Experience caring for postpartum patients with complex needs Current BLS and NRP certifications Epic charting experience required Experience with high-risk obstetric care strongly preferred Comfort with magnesium sulfate therapy, postpartum hemorrhage management, Pitocin, Foley care, and couplet care Ability to work in a high-volume environment and adapt to census surges Willingness to float to related areas when needed First-time travelers with strong postpartum experience are welcome Responsibilities Provide compassionate, evidence-based Mother/Baby and postpartum nursing care Monitor mothers and newborns following delivery and assess recovery progress Support couplet care for postpartum patients and infants Recognize and respond to high-risk obstetric needs and postpartum complications Administer and manage medications and therapies such as magnesium sulfate and Pitocin Assist with postpartum hemorrhage prevention and intervention Document accurately in Epic and maintain clear communication with the interdisciplinary care team Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and support staff to promote safe, efficient patient care Float to related postpartum or labor & delivery areas as assigned Apply now to join a dynamic Seattle travel nursing opportunity and put your postpartum nursing skills to work in a rewarding Mother/Baby RN role.
