Armed Security Officer - Tactical – Phoenix, AZ , Part‑Time. You will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Part‑Time Security Officer, you can build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform. Position Type Part Time Pay Rate $23.00 / Hour Job Schedule Saturdays: 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM Sundays: 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM What You’ll Do Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or members of the public by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location. Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts, supervisors, and/or public agencies as needed. Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and perimeter points to help deter unauthorized activity and report hazards, suspicious behavior, and/or policy violations. Monitor access points and verify entry authorization for employees, visitors, and/or contractors, following post orders and escalating concerns involving restricted areas or prohibited items. Maintain readiness of assigned equipment and complete required reports, logs, and/or incident documentation in accordance with Allied Universal standards and site‑specific expectations. Minimum Requirements Possess at least 1 year of armed security‑related, law enforcement, and/or military experience. Possess an armed guard card and/or license. Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client. Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Participate in industry‑specific security training programs. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
