Key Responsibilities Conduct thorough assessments to identify the clinical needs of clients experiencing major mental illnesses and severe emotional disorders. Develop and implement integrated care plans that cater specifically to the unique needs of each client, facilitating access to additional services as necessary. Provide brief, focused therapeutic interventions that prioritize preventative care and recovery, tailoring approaches to suit individual client circumstances. Carry a caseload of clients, offering individual, group, and family therapy sessions through appropriate and evidence-based methodologies. Conduct safety assessments and address any identified risks or unsafe situations, ensuring a secure therapeutic environment for all participants. Participate in team meetings and collaborative case discussions to enhance interdisciplinary care and treatment strategies. Maintain accurate and timely records of client interactions, including progress notes and treatment plans, ensuring compliance with organizational policies. Provide on-call coverage during assigned hours, offering crisis intervention services when required to support clients in urgent situations. Engage in agency committees focused on enhancing service delivery and quality improvement efforts, contributing ideas and solutions to optimize patient care. Patient Population / Client Focus This role primarily serves a diverse clientele, many of whom come from under-resourced backgrounds and may experience a variety of mental health challenges. Clients often present with major mental illnesses, anxiety disorders, depression, and trauma-related issues. The successful candidate will be equipped to work respectfully with individuals from various cultural, ethnic, and socioeconomic backgrounds, delivering culturally competent care that recognizes and embraces their unique life experiences. Qualifications A Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) is required, along with a current LCSW license in the state of New York. Expertise in mental health assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for diverse populations. Strong verbal and written communication skills, essential for client interactions and documentation. Demonstrated capability to work collaboratively within a team and effectively manage a caseload. Sound organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment. Commitment to maintaining professional ethical standards and enhancing clinical competencies. Preferred Experience A minimum of two years of clinical experience in a behavioral health setting. Proven track record of working with vulnerable populations and expertise in crisis intervention practices. Familiarity with telehealth technologies and experience conducting virtual counseling sessions. Compensation and Benefits The annual salary for this position ranges from USD 70,000 to 85,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
