Job Description

Craftsmen Contractors is seeking an experienced Forklift Operator for the Canton, Mississippi area. This is for a long-term commercial project. The work schedule is Monday through Saturday, working 10-hour day shifts.

Pay is $20/hour.

Weekly pay by direct deposit.

Job Duties:

Assist with moving materials at a construction job site.
Help clean up the job site.
Assist the expediting crew
Unload materials and merchandise from incoming vehicles and stack them to assigned places
Locate and move stock of products to pallets or crates for storage or shipment
Identify damages and report shortages or quality deficiencies
Inspect machinery to determine the need for repairs and guarantee safety by performing regular maintenance
Keep updated records of inventory and activity logs
Comply with company policies and legal guidelines

Job Requirements:

Needing someone with at least 2 years of sit-down forklift operator experience
Sound knowledge of construction and practical experience with tools.
Will need to have all PPE and reliable transportation to get to/from the job site.
A good understanding of safety procedures.
Great hand, eye, and foot coordination.
Ability to lift 50 lbs.
Willingness to learn and be flexible.
Positive attitude and good work ethic.
