Second shift: 3PM-11:30PM

When your shift starts, you head to your production cell, review the setup sheets, and load the correct dies and tooling. You bring bar stock online, use lifts or the overhead crane to move raw material safely, and dial in the grinding operation to hit precise tolerances before roll threading begins. Throughout the run, you verify dimensions with calipers and micrometers, log performance and material usage in the ERP, and partner with maintenance if a machine needs attention. You keep the area organized with 5S, perform in-process and final quality checks, and flex to nearby departments as priorities shift—all while keeping safety first.

• Set up Grind & Roll equipment using setup sheets; load appropriate dies and tooling.
• Run and maintain machinery; stage and load raw materials with lifts and cranes.
• Grind bar stock within a production cell to prep for roll threading, holding tight tolerances.
• Inspect parts throughout production using precision tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges).
• Document daily output: machine performance, quality results, and material usage in the ERP.
• Troubleshoot with the maintenance team to reduce downtime.
• Follow all safety protocols, use PPE, and sustain a clean, organized work area through 5S.
• Handle materials to and from workstations via overhead cranes and forklifts.
• Perform quality assurance checks against company and customer specifications.
• Support other departments as needed to maintain flow and meet demand.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

This position reports directly to the Production Manager.

Manufacturing environment with frequent lifting of materials up to 50 pounds and seldom lifting to 75lbs. Frequent use of hands and fingers to handle/adjust equipment; moderate reaching, pushing, pulling, gripping, and grasping. Safety equipment is required, including safety glasses and steel-toed work boots or shoes.

Full-time, 40+ hours per week. Typical hours are Monday–Friday, eight (8) hours per day. Management sets final schedules. Overtime, evening, and occasional weekend work may be required to meet demand.

Hiring pay range: $19–$28.50 per hour, based on factors such as market conditions, education, experience, skills, knowledge, and certifications. Eligible for company bonus; this role currently participates in the Quarterly Bonus within the Individual Contributor tier.

• Must be 18 years or older.
• 1–3 years operating large-scale roll threading machinery.
• High school diploma/GED or significant relevant experience.
• Basic-to-average computer literacy.
• Proficient with micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
• Comfortable using standard hand tools.
• Able to read/write, perform basic math, and follow written and verbal instructions.
