Registered Nurse (Night Shift) | CCU | Full Time Job Category : RN - Direct Patient Care Requisition Number : REGIS004001 Locations : Showing 1 location GMC, Gritman Medical Center, 700 S Main St., Moscow, ID 83843, USA Gritman Medical Center is seeking compassionate Staff Registered Nurses (RNs) to join our Medical Surgical and Critical Care units. The Staff RN provides direct and indirect patient care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of outcomes. Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, the RN develops and executes individualized care plans for patients of all ages. Responsibilities include patient and family education, mentoring students and novice nurses, and adherence to professional nursing standards and regulatory guidelines. This role requires proficiency in the nursing process, commitment to patient safety, and the ability to work effectively in a dynamic healthcare environment. Required Licenses/Certifications: Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Idaho or a compact state. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification (or obtain within 12 months of hire). Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification (or obtain within 12 months of hire). Required Skills and Abilities: Strong critical thinking and time management skills. Excellent verbal and written communication abilities. Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Commitment to attend annual skills fairs and maintain clinical competencies. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN). Experience in medical-surgical or critical care nursing. Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. from floor to waist occasionally. Frequent lifting of 2-8 lbs. from floor to overhead. Ability to perform patient transfers and provide physical support. Prolonged periods of standing, walking, and occasional sitting. Fine motor skills for tasks such as administering injections and using medical equipment. Visual and auditory acuity to perform essential nursing duties. Exposure to various patient conditions and potential infectious diseases. Work in a fast-paced, sometimes high-stress environment. May be required to work irregular hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Regular interaction with patients from diverse backgrounds and with varying medical conditions.
