Job Title

RN – Acute Care / Medical-Surgical (Adult) – Nights

Location

Glenwood Springs, CO

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Full-Time | Nights | 12-Hour Shifts with Weekend Rotation | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to adult medical-surgical and acute care patients using the nursing process
• Plan, coordinate, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans utilizing specialized clinical knowledge
• Apply expertise related to acute and chronic disease states, orthopedic surgical recovery, and hybrid cardiac procedure patients
• Provide intermediate-level care in the CCU as needed based on census and staffing requirements
• Participate in an on-call rotation, taking one call shift per two-week period as required by staffing needs

Required Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in the state of Colorado
• Minimum of 2 years of RN experience in Acute Care, Medical-Surgical, or Telemetry
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
• Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
• Flu vaccination required (no declinations accepted) for the current flu season, applicable October 1 through April 1

Preferred Experience / Skills

• 3 or more years of RN experience in a Medical-Surgical setting
• Experience with telemetry monitoring and intermediate care environments
• Familiarity with orthopedic surgical and cardiac hybrid procedure patient populations
