Senior Accountant

Job Title: Senior Accountant Location Requirements: Hybrid Job Type: Direct Hire Role Overview: You will join a large, multi-location organization as a Senior Accountant in the Corporate Accounting team. Reporting directly to the Chief Accounting Officer, you will handle month-end close, consolidation, debt accounting, and external reporting. You will work with complex, multi-entity organizational structures, ensuring accurate financials and compliance. Responsibilities: Maintain corporate debt amortization schedules and book debt-related entries monthly; process interest, principal, and fee payments Monitor SOFR rate elections, accrue and true-up interest rate swaps, and prepare annual swap fair value entries Reclass debt issuance and financing costs to appropriate debt cost accounts; calculate intercompany interest charges Support treasury management activities, including cash forecasting, wire/transfer set-up, and positive pay administration Prepare and review intercompany reconciliations and post monthly intercompany/eliminating entries across the consolidated structure Prepare and review consolidated and standalone GAAP financial statements for multiple legal entities; calculate entity-level EBITDA Prepare lender-facing reporting packages, including monthly operating reports, EBITDA walks, and supporting schedules for lender calls Prepare the consolidated monthly reporting package and parent-company financial reporting deliverables Prepare quarterly covenant compliance certificates, pro forma financial statements, and borrowing base calculations/certificates Coordinate with lenders, banks, and outside counsel on debt-related reporting requests, amendments, and covenant matters Support external audit requests related to debt, treasury, consolidations, and financial reporting Prepare and distribute the Management Operating Report (MOR) package and related trending/analytical reporting tools Prepare holding cost and EBITDA reconciliations for closed or divested locations Partner with FP&A and operations teams to ensure management reporting ties to GAAP consolidated results Own assigned month-end close responsibilities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and reporting deliverables Utilize NetSuite for journal entries, reconciliations, reporting, and general ledger maintenance across multiple entities Required Qualifications: Prior experience with NetSuite required Demonstrated experience in debt accounting (term loans, revolvers, mortgages, interest rate swaps) Experience with intercompany accounting and complex, multi-entity consolidations Strong financial reporting background, including preparation of GAAP financial statements Experience preparing lender reporting packages and supporting lender relationships Experience with parent company/consolidated reporting in a multi-entity organization Experience with covenant compliance and borrowing base calculations under a credit agreement Preparing management operating reports or similar internal management reporting packages Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; strong analytical and organizational skills Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced, multi-entity accounting environment Strong written and verbal communication skills, with ability to interact with senior leadership, lenders, and external advisors Additional desired, but not required: prior experience in private equity-backed or multi-location/multi-unit businesses; work with external auditors, tax advisors, and bank counterparties; lease accounting (ASC 842) and related systems (e.g., CoStar); Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required.
