Technician, Low Voltage, Licensed- Up to $5000 Sign on Bonus

Position Summary. This position is responsible for assisting in the operation of multiple departments and performing additional job related responsibilities as assigned. The incumbent is expected to work across the facility to support low‑voltage system installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting. Essential Functions Set up and configure low‑voltage systems such as security, fire alarms, CCTV, audio/video, and network cabling. Run, terminate, and label cables according to project requirements and industry standards. Perform regular maintenance checks to ensure system functionality and reliability. Identify and resolve issues in low‑voltage systems promptly to minimize downtime. Repair or replace faults to restore systems to optimal working condition. Provide technical support and training to end users on operation and maintenance of systems. Respond to customer inquiries professionally and efficiently. Ensure all installations and repairs adhere to local, state, and federal regulations. Follow safety guidelines to prevent accidents and maintain a safe working environment. Maintain accurate records of installations, maintenance, and repairs. Generate reports on system performance, issues resolved, and maintenance activities. Evaluate existing systems for upgrades or enhancements and perform upgrades to improve performance or meet new standards. Collaborate closely with technicians, engineers, and project managers to ensure project completion. Communicate effectively with clients to understand needs and provide appropriate solutions. Stay abreast of industry trends, technologies, and best practices, and apply expertise to improve action plans. Support implementation of business solutions by building relationships with stakeholders, identifying needs, and monitoring progress. Model compliance with company policies and procedures, supporting the company’s mission, values, and ethics. Physical Activities Will require reading small print, visual verification of information, effective communication (in person or by telecommunications equipment), documentation using writing instruments or electronic devices, and entering data on electronic devices. Travel Requirements Travel domestically to multiple facilities or work sites, including consecutive overnight stays. Qualifications State and jurisdiction required certification and license for the state/jurisdiction of work. High school diploma or equivalent. Prior experience reading blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams. Experience using hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment. Experience in a role requiring knowledge of local electrical codes and standards. Preferred Qualifications CompTIA networking certifications (e.g., Network+). Intermediate proficiency in word processing, spreadsheet, email, and presentation software. Manufacturer-specific certifications (e.g., Honeywell, Axis, Bosch). NICET Level 1 or 2 Fire Alarm Certification. OSHA 10‑hour or 30‑hour safety certification. Technical training or certification in low‑voltage systems.
