Elementary School Cafeteria Food Service Manager

Haskell CISD is seeking a dedicated Elementary School Cafeteria Food Service Manager to help us provide healthy, appealing, and nutritious meals to our students. The ideal candidate will assist in food preparation, ordering and production, maintain a clean kitchen, and provide excellent service in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities Assist in the preparation and cooking of school breakfast and lunch menu items. Keep inventory of supplies and ingredients Set up food lines, serve meals to students, and ensure proper portion control. Operate the POS system to process student meals accurately. Wash dishes, sanitize food preparation surfaces, and sweep/mop floors at the end of shifts. Receive, unpack, and properly store food deliveries and supplies. Follow all local, state, and federal food safety and sanitation guidelines. Qualifications and Skills High school diploma or GED. Previous food service experience is a plus, but not required. Must be able to obtain a Food Handler's permit/certification. Basic math skills for operating registers and measuring ingredients. Strong communication skills and a friendly attitude toward students and staff. Summer workshop required for professional standards. Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, bend and stoop for extended periods. Ability to lift and carry up to [e.g., 40] pounds.
