What does a Long-Term Tissue Processing Technologist do? The Long-Term Tissue Processing Technologist plays a vital role in preparing tissue for a variety of uses, such as glaucoma treatment, corneal ulcers and perforations, and more. Responsibilities include routine long‑term storage processing, administrative tasks, lab cleaning support, distribution, quality control of labeling/packaging and maintaining efficient production operations for CorneaGen. What else should I know about this position? This is a full‑time, hourly position. The schedule is 40 hrs/week with a core schedule of 8:00 am to 4:30 pm Monday‑Friday. Due to the nature of this work, the position is 100% in‑person – remote work is not available. What if I’ve never done this type of work before? Not a problem! We will provide on‑the‑job training to give you the skills and knowledge needed to become a Long‑Term Tissue Processing Technologist. What we ask of you is that: You have received your high school diploma or equivalent. Additional experience in a laboratory or health care environment, or a B.S. degree in a life science field education is a bonus. Your previous work experience demonstrates that you are able to collaborate with others on a team, have a strong attention to detail, and can communicate effectively (written, verbal, etc.) within a professional work environment. Compensation and Benefits The hourly rate for this position is a minimum of $25.40/hour up to a maximum of $27.00/hr.
