Key Responsibilities
- Perform detailed patient evaluations, including thorough physical examinations and meticulous medical history reviews
- Aide in the diagnosis of surgical conditions through the analysis of imaging studies and lab results
- Work in tandem with surgeons to develop and implement personalized surgical treatment strategies
- Provide intraoperative assistance, including room preparation, patient positioning, and instrument management during procedures
- Offer exemplary pre- and post-operative care - from administering medications and tending to wounds to planning discharges and educating patients
- Master's degree from a recognized Physician Assistant program
- Strong preference for candidates who have completed clinical rotations with a surgical emphasis
- Current and valid PA-C certification
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- State licensure (or eligibility) as a Physician Assistant
- Comprehensive understanding of surgical principles and sterile techniques
- Proven ability to interpret diagnostic tests and participate in multifaceted clinical decisions
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal competencies
- Ability to perform effectively in high-stress situations, particularly in surgical environments
