Senior Network EngineerGenesis10 is currently seeking a Senior Network Engineer for a contract position with a Major Financial Institution located in McLean, VA. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity.This role focuses on the daily operations, administration, and management of a large-scale global network environment that supports mission-critical applications. The ideal candidate will be comfortable adopting new technologies and implementing solutions using automation, observability, and security principles.Responsibilities:Operate, administer, and manage day to day network operations of a large scale global mixed media network environmentMonitor the data network for performance degradation, connectivity issues, system events and alertsUpdate and manage tickets through resolution with vendors and internal support systemsCreate and implement data network changesRequirements:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a similar fieldAt least 2 years of experience with software engineering, DevOps or relatedAbility to be comfortable adopting new technologiesComfort implementing solutions using automation, observability, and security principalsAbility to contribute meaningfully to agile ceremonies, lead demos and presentationsA security-first attitudePay range: $48.46 - $56.46 per hourOnly candidates available and ready to work directly as Genesis10 employees will be considered for this position.If you have the described qualifications and are interested in this exciting opportunity, please apply!
