Sr. Electrical EngineerLocation: Hybrid, 2 days a week onsite in Conshohocken, PA Status: Contract through end of year Compensation: $65 to $75 per hour Experience level: 8+ years of experience in Power DistributionSUMMARY: We are seeking a senior level electrical engineer for a leading role. This position will provide an opportunity to mentor and/or manage junior and mid-level electrical engineering staff members while also working closely with our clients to deliver exceptional services in the energy sector. Other responsibilities will include strategy formation, business development and sales as we expand our energy transition portfolio.Requirements: This position provides the opportunity to engage with our clients, evaluate their energy needs, develop concept-level plans and solutions, and then take these through detailed design to provide for full execution of the solution. We offer and deliver a true "end to end" life-cycle service from exploration, development, operation, and repowering/retirement.Demonstrated abilities include a broad understanding of power systems and electrical engineering sciences.Experience in consulting, design, design management and project management will be highly regarded, as will experience in Owner's Engineer roles or contract management, and advisory (technical advisor/due diligence) roles as well as strategic project development experience.Your primary responsibilities will focus on leading an electrical engineering team to provide advisory services and engineering design solutions for clients across all market sectors.You will collaborate with our Client Account Managers and sales professionals on pursuits of strategic importance to the firm.You'll be expected to possess highly collaborative and sophisticated communication and problem-solving skills.Successful candidates will have a demonstrated ability to anticipate challenges and manage "up and out" while supporting large teams responsible for the daily details of project delivery.Education: Bachelor's or Advanced Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Power Engineering or related engineering disciplineQualificationsAt least 8 years of design/consulting experience with Power distribution systems and microgridsPower generation and High Voltage or Medium Voltage SubstationsDemonstrated ability for developing design calculations, construction drawings and specifications.3D modeling software such as Revit, AutoCAD, CADWorx and NavisWorksPower system modeling experience using SKM Power Tools, ETAP or similar modeling softwareRenewable energy projects including wind, solar, hydro, geothermal and other technologiesEnergy storage systems and Protection and Control, SCADA or power system automationCampus utility master planning or decarbonization/climate response planningCogeneration or combined heat and power systemsThermal utility plants and distribution systems (steam, hot water, chilled water)Preferred ExperienceProfessional Engineer (PE) OR the ability to obtain Professional Engineer (PE) within 1 year, preferredBenefits PEAK's benefit offerings available for our associates include medical, dental, vision, Flexible Spending Account (FSA), Dependent Care Savings Account (DCA), and 401K plan.
