We are seeking an experienced, dependable, and safety-conscious Commercial Property Painter / Maintenance Painter to perform exterior painting and related property improvement work at commercial properties.

This is a hands-on position for someone who can work independently, maintain a consistent schedule, take ownership of assigned projects, and complete work safely and professionally with limited supervision.

The primary work will include painting curbs, pillars, columns, walls, and other exterior property surfaces , including areas that may require working from a scissor lift at heights of approximately 30 feet .

Responsibilities

• Paint exterior curbs, pillars, columns, walls, structural elements, and other property surfaces
• Prepare surfaces through cleaning, scraping, sanding, patching, masking, caulking, and priming as needed
• Apply paint and coatings using brushes, rollers, and paint sprayers when appropriate
• Maintain clean, straight, professional paint lines and consistent finishes
• Match existing colors and finishes when performing touch-ups or repainting
• Safely operate and work from a scissor lift at heights of approximately 30 feet
• Work comfortably and safely at elevated heights
• Follow proper fall protection, lift operation, respiratory protection, and job-site safety procedures
• Set up and maintain safe work areas around tenants, customers, vehicles, and pedestrians
• Protect storefronts, walkways, landscaping, vehicles, fixtures, and surrounding surfaces from paint and overspray
• Use hand tools and power tools for surface preparation and minor maintenance work
• Perform basic drywall repair, patching, caulking, plaster repair, and other minor property maintenance as needed
• Maintain and properly care for painting tools, equipment, and materials
• Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe throughout each project
• Identify areas requiring repair or additional maintenance and report them to management
• Estimate material needs and take basic measurements for assigned work
• Work independently and efficiently manage daily assignments
• Complete assigned areas to a professional standard without requiring constant supervision
• Follow all applicable workplace, equipment, and property safety procedures

Requirements

• Prior professional painting experience
• Experience with commercial or exterior property painting strongly preferred
• Prior experience working at elevated heights required
• Comfortable operating and working from a scissor lift approximately 30 feet in the air
• Understanding of proper fall protection, lift operation, and general job-site safety practices
• Experience using brushes, rollers, paint sprayers, hand tools, and power tools
• Knowledge of proper surface preparation, including sanding, patching, masking, caulking, and priming
• Ability to perform clean and consistent finish work
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Dependable, punctual, and able to maintain a consistent Monday–Friday schedule
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to perform physical work throughout an 8-hour shift
• Ability to lift and carry painting supplies, equipment, and materials
• Comfortable working outdoors and in varying weather conditions
• Basic math and measurement skills
• Must consistently follow safety procedures and property rules

Preferred Qualifications

• Commercial property maintenance experience
• Experience with drywall repair, plastering, caulking, or general handyman work
• Experience using conventional or construction paint sprayers
• Familiarity with OSHA construction safety practices
• Experience working around occupied retail or commercial properties
• Ability to read basic plans, drawings, or project specifications is a plus

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is an experienced painter who takes pride in their craftsmanship, works safely, and takes ownership of their responsibilities.

You should be comfortable receiving an assignment and completing it independently without constant supervision. We are looking for someone who is dependable, detail-oriented, productive, and capable of maintaining a professional standard of work while operating around active commercial properties.

Safety is especially important for this position. Candidates must have prior experience working at elevated heights and must be comfortable following proper procedures while using a scissor lift approximately 30 feet above ground.

Pay: $30.00/hour
Hours: 40 hours/week
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM
Expected Start: Approximately two weeks
