Operations Manager

Leadership role with significant operational impact A growing manufacturing organization is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead plant operations and drive performance across production, quality, safety, inventory, and continuous improvement initiatives. This individual will play a key leadership role in ensuring operational excellence while supporting business growth, customer satisfaction, and profitability objectives. Position Summary The Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing day-to-day manufacturing operations, ensuring products are produced safely, on time, within quality standards, and in alignment with cost and productivity goals. This role will lead cross-functional teams, develop operational strategies, and implement process improvements to drive efficiency and performance. Key Responsibilities Lead manufacturing operations to ensure safety, quality, delivery, and cost objectives are achieved. Develop and execute short- and long-term operational plans that support business goals. Establish and maintain manufacturing processes and procedures that ensure consistent product quality and customer satisfaction. Drive productivity improvements, cost reduction initiatives, and waste elimination efforts. Monitor key performance indicators and implement corrective actions to improve operational performance. Lead, develop, and mentor supervisors and department leaders while fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement. Partner with supply chain, quality, engineering, and production teams to optimize operational effectiveness. Oversee staffing, workforce planning, employee development, and performance management activities. Support inventory management, production planning, and material flow processes to ensure operational efficiency. Champion workplace safety initiatives and ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. Lead continuous improvement efforts focused on productivity, throughput, quality, scrap reduction, and overall plant performance. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations Management, or a related field; equivalent experience will be considered. Minimum of 5 years of manufacturing operations leadership experience. Proven experience leading teams within a manufacturing environment. Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, quality systems, inventory control, and supply chain operations. Experience utilizing ERP systems and business analytics tools to drive decision-making. Preferred Experience Multi-department manufacturing leadership experience. Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, Six Sigma, or related operational excellence experience. Experience in high-volume manufacturing environments.
