Junior Trading Systems Engineer - Low-Latency Go/C++

Our client is a well-established fintech platform offering crypto payments, banking, and trading services to customers across 140+ countries. About the Role They are growing their core trading team and need a strong software engineer to own the execution layer of their global trading platform — the engine that connects them to exchanges and liquidity providers worldwide. This is a hands‑on, high‑impact role where performance and reliability matter enormously. Every single trade on the platform passes through the systems you will build and maintain. Responsibilities Build and maintain low‑latency, high‑throughput execution services connecting the platform to crypto exchanges and liquidity providers Work with real‑time API protocols including REST, WebSockets, and FIX Write highly concurrent code focused on minimal latency and best‑in‑class performance Improve monitoring and alerting across the execution platform Contribute to the architecture of a distributed, microservices‑based trading system Required Skills and Qualifications BSc or advanced degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience Strong hands‑on experience in Go (Golang) and/or C++ and Linux Proven track record building low‑latency, high‑throughput, or performance‑critical systems Solid understanding of concurrent programming (multithreading, goroutines, channels) Experience with REST and WebSocket APIs 3+ years of professional software engineering experience Bonus if you have any of these skills FIX protocol experience Background in crypto trading, HFT, or market making DeFi or decentralised exchange exposure Kafka, NATS, or other message queues Docker, Kubernetes, or similar containerisation tools Pay range and compensation package Salary up to $140,000 depending on experience Annual performance bonus Hybrid working from New York Equal Opportunity Statement Candidates must already hold the legal right to work in the United States.
