SEC Reporting Manager

About the Opportunity:

Sandella Sova is proud to partner with a publicly traded manufacturing company in Columbus, Ohio.

This is a hybrid role.

We are seeking a high-caliber Financial Reporting Manager to join one of the smallest publicly traded companies in Columbus. This position is highly visible, working closely with the Corporate Controller. You'll lead the financial statement filing process for a publicly traded company.

Key Responsibilities:

• Financial Reporting & Governance: Lead the preparation, consolidation, and filing of US GAAP and IFRS financial statements, including SEC reports (10-Q and 10-K) drafting, and investor-facing earnings materials.
• Technical Accounting & Policy: Research and implement new accounting standards, author technical memos, and maintain robust accounting policies across complex areas like fixed assets and corporate tax disclosures.
• Audit & Compliance Management: Serve as the primary liaison for external auditors to manage timelines, while maintaining internal controls and ensuring strict SOX compliance.
• Financial Analysis & Insight: Oversee the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, performing detailed variance analyses and balance sheet reviews to align budgeting with actual reporting.
• Team Leadership: Direct, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of accounting professionals.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related
• 5+ years of experience in industry/public accounting
• Public accounting experience preferred
• CPA preferred
• Experience working in or consulting on manufacturing companies preferred
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
