Job Details Cost Accountant Employment Type: Full-Time Position Overview We are seeking a Cost Accountant to support financial performance, inventory accuracy, product costing, and operational profitability within a manufacturing environment. This professional will work closely with accounting, finance, production, and operations teams to analyze manufacturing costs and provide reliable financial information for business decisions. Key Responsibilities Maintain and analyze standard costing, actual costing, or other applicable product-costing methodologies. Monitor raw materials, work-in-process inventory, and finished goods costs. Analyze labor, material, overhead, and production variances. Support inventory reconciliations, cycle counts, and valuation. Prepare cost reports, margin analysis, and operational financial reporting. Assist with month-end close, journal entries, and account reconciliations. Analyze manufacturing efficiency, scrap, waste, and production expenses. Partner with plant management and operations to identify cost trends and improvement opportunities. Support annual budgets, forecasts, and cost updates. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred. Experience in manufacturing, cost accounting, plant accounting, or inventory accounting. Understanding of inventory valuation, cost allocations, and manufacturing variances. Experience working with ERP systems and advanced Excel functions. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
