Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Emergency Department Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 06:45 - 19:15 Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: Active Nursing License Certifications: ACLS before starting date BLS before starting date PALS before starting date TNCC before starting date CPI before starting date NIHSS before starting date ENPC within 90 days of hire Must-Have: 2 years of experience as a nurse, with at least 1 year of experience in an emergency setting Teamwork mentality Ability to coach and provide feedback in real time Flexibility to work in all areas of the emergency department Description: This position is for an emergency department RN. The hospital is recognized for providing the highest clinical quality year after year. It has achieved significant accolades for safety and patient care. The emergency department is the region’s referral center, with a large volume of patient visits. Staffing includes available technicians and unit clerks, both days and nights. Patient ratios are typically 4:1 and can go up to 7:1 on behavioral holds. The department employs advanced technology and a variety of medical equipment. Documentation is done through an electronic system. Candidates are expected to work every other weekend. There is no floating outside of the emergency department, but flexibility to float within all sections is required. Respectful behavior and positive patient experiences are emphasized. The team is known for its collaborative spirit and welcoming atmosphere. Staff enjoy serving a diverse community with multiple languages spoken in the area. Additional training and equipment updates are provided to ensure a high standard of care.
