Woodruff School of Mechanical Engineering at the Georgia Institute of Technology The Woodruff School graduates high caliber mechanical engineers for a demanding profession. Mechanical engineers are the foundation of today's technological world. To do so, we provide enhanced facilities and laboratories to create the best learning environment, and we attract outstanding faculty and students. In this period of rapid technological change, the Woodruff School produces mechanical engineers who are vital to our future. We also host a vibrant nuclear and radiological engineering program, offering both undergraduate and graduate degrees. With approximately 3,000 students,100 faculty members, and 70 staff members, we are one of the largest mechanical engineering programs in the country. We are consistently ranked as one of the top 5 mechanical engineering programs in the U.S. at both the graduate and undergraduate levels and continuously innovate to keep our school at the forefront of engineering education. Job Summary This is a Research Engineer II positon for Dr. Thomas's lab. You can find out more information about her lab here: Thomas Lab - Institute for Bioengineering & Biosciences - Georgia Institute of Technology Responsibilities Lead in vivo validation studies for large scale multi-site translational project. Perform extensive biodistribution studies and imaging. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team (engineering, chemistry, drug delivery). Perform/lead grant/project reporting and writing. Lead manuscript writing and present findings at conferences. Required Qualifications Research Engineer II A Masters degree in Engineering or related fields and three (3) years of relevant full-time experience after completion of that degree, or A Masters degree in Engineering or related fields and five (5) years of relevant full-time experience after completion of Bachelors, or A Doctoral degree Preferred Qualifications Ph.D. in Bioengineering, Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering or a related field. Strong experience in in vivo therapeutic testing , drug formulation , and biodistribution as well as pharmacokinetic/pharmacodynamic studies . Excellent communication and writing skills.
