If you have a strong desire to work for a leading, global coatings company in the development of new, innovative products, then Red Spot is where you want to be!We have an immediate opening for a Shipping Clerk on 1st Shift (8:30am – 5:00pm) at our Evansville, IN facility.The main purpose of this position is to ensure timely and proper shipment of products, from the manufacturing facility, to the customer base domestically and internationally.Essential Functions:Preparation of proper paperwork to accompany finished goods – Print order received by Inside Sales, attach packing list, prepare/finalize bill of lading.Checking of pulled orders – ensure accuracy and labeling according to customer and DOT requirements.Contact trucking companies – to pick up prepared orders.Reviews work instructions – associated with the above mentioned job title and regularly attends company-wide training on areas such as Corporate Ethics, Safety, Environmental, etc.Minimum Requirements:GED or High School Diploma1-3 years' experience in customer services and/or Inside Sales, Supply Chain ORAny combination of equivalent education and experience in Customer Service/Supply ChainAbility to work across departments, with customers, vendors, internally, in order to complete task in timely, efficient, cost effective manner for outbound deliveriesAbility to successfully pass Ishihara Test for Color-DeficiencyAbility to speak, read, and write English fluently and/or bilingualDesired Qualifications:Experience with hazardous shippingExperience with international shipmentsSAP experience is a plusAbilities/Competencies:Excellent computer and data entry skills – MS Word, Excel, OutlookExcellent interpersonal skills; capable of relating to individuals at all levels of the organizationAbility to maintain accurate, detailed files and records, and comply with appropriate record keeping requirementsAbility to organize and prioritize in an effective and timely manner, set priorities and meet critical time deadlinesAbility to maintain confidentiality of customer information, company formulations, raw materials, vendors, etc. As well as all Company information and mattersAbility to interpret and adhere to all company policies, including Quality/EHS procedures and policies, and all applicable government regulationsWhat we offer:Medical, Dental, Vision, Disability, Life InsuranceFree On-Site Medical clinicVacation, Personal/Sick paid time offHoliday Pay401k with company matchAnd much moreRed Spot Paint & Varnish Co., Inc. is an equal opportunity employer.
