We are seeking a skilled, compassionate, and dedicated Physician Assistant to join our growing outpatient Gastroenterology practice. In this role, you will provide comprehensive direct patient care, perform physical examinations, diagnose and treat illnesses, and collaborate closely with our supervising physician and clinical support staff to ensure high-quality patient outcomes.

Position type: full-time, 40 hours/week

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct initial office consultations and follow-up visits for adult GI patients.
• Evaluate and manage common and complex gastrointestinal and hepatic conditions (e.g., GERD, IBS, IBD, fatty liver disease, biliary issues, colon cancer screening).
• Order and interpret relevant diagnostic tests, laboratory work, imaging, and pathology results.
• Formulate evidence-based treatment plans and prescribe appropriate pharmacotherapy.
• Educate patients on disease prevention, dietary modifications, and procedure preparation.
• Collaborate closely with the attending physician and clinical support staff to ensure seamless patient care.
• Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential patient records within the electronic medical record (EMR) system in compliance with HIPAA guidelines.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Education: Master’s degree from an ARC-PA accredited Physician Assistant program.
• Certification: Current certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
• Licensure: Active, unencumbered Physician Assistant state license (or eligibility to obtain in CA).
• Credentials: Current DEA registration and NPI number.
• Life Support: Current BLS/CPR certification; ACLS preferred.
• Experience: 2+ years of clinical experience preferred; new graduates with strong clinical rotations will be considered.
• Bilingual (Required):  Fluency in both Spanish and English to effectively serve our patient population.
• GI Experience (Preferred but not required): Prior clinical experience in Gastroenterology or a specialized outpatient medical setting.

Compensation & Benefits

• Competitive hourly rate ranging from $60-$90 per hour, depending on years of clinical experience and years of experience in gastroenterology
