Production Engineer

The Production Engineer executes work in compliance the SI’s ZERO EHS Impact Philosophy. The Production Engineer is responsible for partnering withcross-functional teams in the implementation of production improvements programs to optimize production. How you will Make an Impact: Production Engineer Functional Role Ensures EHS compliance and continuous improvement in EHS performance Provides technical support for Production troubleshooting, problem-solving, and root cause analysis of process issues Provides training on and leads advanced troubleshooting and problem-solving processes Works collaboratively with Quality on chemistry related issues & method formulation improvements Works cooperatively with site engineering to develops project scopes and process engineering packages for new installationsand retrofit of facilities Provides technical input for maintenance of raw material usage standards (SAP bill of materials); drives analysis and continuous improvement of raw material utilization (yield performance). Provides analysis of equipment time utilization (OEE) and drives continuous improvement. Responsible for functional safety execution for assigned processes including process hazard analysis (PHA), Layers of Protection Analysis (LOPA), Management of Change (MOC), Pre-Start-up Safety Reviews (PSSR), and completion of Corrective and Preventative Actions (CAPA). Provide technical support to basic process control systems (DCS - Yokogawa) to optimize process performance and functionality for the operator. Activities may include: loop-tuning, alarm management, and small configuration tasks.
