Managing Scientist (M.S.) Location: Bowie, MD Practice: Electrical Engineering & Computer Science Responsibilities Managing projects from initiation to completion; communicating project updates to other team members, clients, and administrative staff; ensuring that Exponent meets its deadlines and produces exceptional work product; and identifying business development opportunities. Working with government security related products and projects. Presenting testing results, analyses, and recommendations to clients. Supporting on-site meetings, testing, or other activities conducted at client sites. Attracting and developing new projects and clients. Building and leading diverse teams. Mentoring and developing technical staff. Providing project management and project budget oversight. Qualifications M.S. in science, engineering, mathematics, or a related field with relevant work experience. 6+ years of post‑graduation experience working in data analytics or data science. Proof of U.S. citizenship and possession of or ability to obtain a DoD security clearance. Ability to interact with managers, engineers, non-technical personnel, and clients and present technical topics in a cogent and comprehensible manner. Ability to code data into appropriate graphical formats (considered a plus). Knowledge of data analysis and visualization programs such as Tableau or others (considered a plus). Prior government contracting experience (considered a plus). Experience with machine learning (considered a plus). Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Superior problem-solving abilities. Strong teamwork and leadership skills. Salary USD $172,500.00 - USD $220,000.00 /Yr.
