Travel RN - Telemetry

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a fast-paced Telemetry/Med-Surg unit specializing in post-op surgical patients, requiring at least 2 years of experience and a valid KY or compact RN license. Requirements Active KY or compact RN license in hand at time of consideration Current BLS certification required; ACLS is not required Minimum 2 years of RN experience required Both medical and surgical nursing skillset required Strong post-op surgical experience required, particularly with orthopedic and gastrointestinal surgery patients 2 supervisor references from within the last 3 years of employment required for consideration RN license must be free of any licensure hits or disciplinary actions Responsibilities 23-bed medical-surgical unit caring for orthopedic, spine, general surgery, and bariatric patients, with occasional overflow from medicine areas Unit receives approximately 10–20 post-op patients per day, making for a busy, fast-paced environment Cardiac monitoring and supplemental oxygen (O2) monitoring capabilities are available on the unit Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM Floating to other units within skillset is required First-time travelers may be considered only if they have several years of post-op surgical patient care experience EKG competency exam must be passed during onboarding Candidates whose permanent residence is within 100 miles of the facility are not eligible for this position Former permanent staff must have been separated from the facility for at least 6 months before being eligible to return as a traveler All requested time off (RTO) must be disclosed at the time of submission; RTO requests made after submission will not be approved Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts #J-18808-Ljbffr
