Registered Nurse In Intensive Care Unit (ICU)

Professional Type: Registered Nurse Specialty: Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Contract Type: Long-Term, 13 weeks, Shift: Day, 7:00AM - 7:30PM, 36 hour/week Rate: $50.00 - $55.00/hr

Notes:

Patient population will be Med/Surg, PCU, and ICU. Expected ratio is 1:3. RN may be floated to other Stepdown and Med/Surg units in the hospital as needed but will not likely float to other critical care units. Procedures include but not limited to: A-line, Bair Hugger System, FMS Systems, IV Insulin, IV Infusion / Endo, Stable DKA, IPAP, Non-Invasive Ventilation, Telemetry, Peripheral Cath Withdrawals, Nurse Collect Unit – No Phlebotomy Assesses, implements, and evaluates care needed by assigned patients under the direction of the licensed physician. The RN is knowledgeable about principles, theories, current methods and techniques of nursing practice. Using the nursing process, the RN collaborates with the patient, patient's family member(s)/significant others, professional peers and other members of the health care team to individualize patient care. Directs nursing support staff in the provision of patient care according to the standards of nursing practice, administrative and departmental policies and procedures. Professional education, training or additional certifications may be required by specialty area.

Requirements:

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required.
• Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• 1 year experience in area of clinical specialty preferred.
• PA Registered Nurse License required.
• Basic Life Support(BLS) required.
