Shift: Monday- Friday | 7 am - 3:30 PM
Location: Converse, TX
Pay Rate: $27 - $32
Travel: Up to 80%


Currently seeking an experienced HVAC Technician to join a team with one of the world's largest modular building companies, with more than 250 locations. This is a hands-on career opportunity focused on commercial HVAC installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair. The technician may also assist with general repairs to modular buildings and fleet equipment.


Responsibilities:
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, maintain, and install commercial HVAC systems.
• Service air-conditioning units, heating units, heat pumps, compressors, exhaust fans, economizers, and heaters.
• Perform preventive maintenance, emergency service, and final repairs.
• Respond to service calls at customer sites and branch locations.
• Clean clogged HVAC systems and replace damaged or defective components.
• Identify and order the equipment, parts, and materials needed for repairs.
• Complete work orders and maintain accurate service and inventory records.
• Communicate with team members, customers, vendors, and subcontractors.
• Assist with other modular-building repairs, including doors, plumbing, roofing, tile, and security equipment.
• Maintain a safe work environment and follow all company safety procedures.
• Wear and properly use all required personal protective equipment.


Requirements:
• EPA Universal Refrigerant Handling Certification required.
• HVAC certificate or degree from an accredited technical or vocational school.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Four or more years of HVAC, maintenance, or construction experience preferred.
• Valid driver's license with a clean motor vehicle record.
• Ability to pass background and drug screenings.
• Basic computer knowledge and the ability to complete electronic work orders.
• Strong troubleshooting, mechanical, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience safely using hand tools, power tools, and HVAC equipment.
• Ability to travel up to 80% of the time.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical work indoors and outdoors.
• Comfortable working in different weather conditions and around dirt, dust, grease, noise, and heavy equipment.
• Reliable and flexible to work overtime or respond to emergency service calls as needed.
