RN - Orthopedic/ Medsurg - Full Time - Day Shift

Qualifications Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (Required). Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in nursing. Work Experience: None (Required). Certifications: Current registered nurse (RN) license in the state of practice (Required). Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (Required). Preferred: Certification in a clinical specialty area. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Proficiency in using computers, software, and web-based applications. Effective verbal and written communication skills; ability to present information clearly and professionally. Strong interpersonal skills. Good organizational and time‑management skills; ability to be self‑directed. Ability to demonstrate good judgment. Job Duties Effectively uses the nursing process in the delivery of patient care. Assesses learning needs and implements teaching strategies appropriate for the diverse needs of patients, families, and other disciplines. Communicates, delegates, and manages nursing team resources (human and fiscal) properly; serves as a leader and partner on the interdisciplinary team. Uses data, information, and knowledge to evaluate and promote change in order to achieve optimal outcomes. Embraces concepts and behaviors that enhance customer satisfaction and employee morale and improve the profession of nursing. Adapts behavior to the specific patient population, including respecting privacy, introducing oneself, explaining services or procedures, requesting permissions, and tailoring communication style. Maintains up‑to‑date knowledge of current federal, state, and local laws and ensures compliance with all applicable regulations. Performs other related duties as required. Physical and Environmental Demands Requires the ability to exert 10–20 pounds of force constantly or 25–50 pounds occasionally to move objects; may involve exposure to blood, body fluid, tissue, communicable diseases, hazardous medications, and hazardous waste.
