Patient Affairs and Reception Supervisor Band 4, NHS AfC, Fixed term 12 months, Full time 30 hours per week (Monday – Friday). Site: Meadowbrook Unit, Salford. Salary £27,485 – £30,162 per annum. Closing 03/06/2026 23:59. Job overview Provide supervision of reception and oversee patient affairs services, ensuring efficient administrative support across the unit. Responsibilities include overseeing petty cash and patient funds administration, staff supervision, rota management, compliance with organisational policies and financial instructions, maintaining high standards of record keeping, and contributing to service development. Main duties of the job Supervise receptionists and admin staff, ensuring adherence to policies and procedures. Manage shift rotas and ensure adequate cover. Chair regular team meetings and disseminate information. Implement supervision and appraisal processes, including Personal Development Plans. Administer petty cash and travel expenses for patients. Assist in managing financial information systems in line with Trust protocols. Provide financial reports to senior staff as required. Conduct audits of patients' property and report findings. Conduct annual audits in line with the Trust’s financial standards and policy. Person specification Education/Qualifications Good level of education (Maths & English), Level 3 qualification or equivalent experience. RSAC 2 or other IT qualifications. Experience Experience in busy office environments. Confidentiality awareness. Experience of completing audits. Experience of cash handling. Experience with public/patients. Experience working in a healthcare setting. Use of EPR systems. Knowledge Data Protection Act. GDPR. Client confidentiality. Mental health awareness. Skills and Abilities Time management. Planning & prioritisation. Advanced IT skills. Numeracy & statistical reporting. Other Ability to travel across Trust footprint if required.
