MS/Tele Registered Nurse (RN) - Observation Unit

This is a 20-week contract position.

3x12 Hour shifts from 07:00 AM - 07:30 PM with weekend requirements (every other weekend).

The MS/Tele Registered Nurse will provide nursing care in the Observation Unit, offering a range of assessment and treatment interventions for adult and geriatric patients. The role includes managing patient care in a fast-paced environment while adhering to best practices and compliance requirements.

Responsibilities:

Monitor and assess patient conditions using telemetry equipment.
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
Manage patient care plans and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams.
Provide education to patients and families regarding health conditions and care plans.
Adhere to safety and hygiene protocols, including isolation precautions.
Participate in performance improvement and quality initiatives.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a medical-surgical or telemetry unit.
Current and active RN license in Maryland or Compact state.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required.
Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) certification required.
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred.
