As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU), you will be essential in delivering attentive, high-quality care to patients transitioning from the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). Your role will involve helping patients regain strength, prevent complications, and progress toward recovery. You will collaborate closely with a dedicated critical care team focused on improving lives daily.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Delivering direct care to patients with complex needs, including administering medications, assisting with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), managing tubes and drains, and supporting advanced monitoring.
• Carefully observing changes in heart rate, oxygen saturation, or neurological status, and promptly notifying the team to facilitate early intervention.
• Maintaining accurate and timely documentation to ensure effective teamwork and patient safety.
• Guiding patients and their families in understanding their conditions and providing support as they navigate serious health challenges and recovery processes.
• Collaborating closely with registered nurses, physicians, and specialists to assist patients in stabilizing and progressing from intensive care.

• Basic Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 30 days of starting employment.
• Current licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN).
• Graduation from an accredited vocational school.
