Maintenance ManagerThe Maintenance Manager is responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient functioning of all machinery and equipment, minimizing downtime, and maximizing productivity. This role requires strong technical knowledge, leadership abilities, and a proactive approach to maintenance planning and execution.Essential Functions & Key Responsibilities:Developing and implementing a comprehensive maintenance program to ensure the proper functioning and longevity of all machinery and equipment in the plastics manufacturing facilityManaging a team of maintenance technicians, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure effective maintenance operationsConducting regular inspections and assessments to identify potential issues or areas for improvementPlanning and scheduling preventive maintenance tasks, equipment repairs, and upgrades to minimize downtime and optimize production efficiencyCoordinating with production teams to prioritize maintenance activities and minimize disruptions to manufacturing processesMonitoring equipment performance, analyzing data, and implementing corrective actions to improve reliability and reduce breakdownsCollaborating with external vendors and contractors for specialized repairs or equipment installations when necessaryManaging the maintenance budget, tracking expenses, and ensuring cost-effective procurement of spare parts and suppliesEnsuring compliance with safety regulations and promoting a culture of safety within the maintenance team and across the manufacturing facilityMaintaining accurate maintenance records, including work orders, equipment history, and inventory managementOther essential duties as assignedCandidate Requirements:Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field is preferredProven experience (5+ years) in maintenance management, preferably in a plastics manufacturing or similar industrial environmentStrong technical knowledge of plastics manufacturing machinery and equipment, including extruders, injection molding machines, conveyors, and related systemsExcellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team of maintenance techniciansProficient in maintenance planning and scheduling, with the ability to prioritize tasks and allocate resources effectivelyKnowledge of preventive maintenance strategies and reliability-centered maintenance principlesFamiliarity with safety regulations and best practices in an industrial manufacturing settingStrong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions under pressureExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external stakeholdersProficient in using computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) and other relevant software
