HUMAN RESOURCES GENERALIST

We are seeking an experienced Human Resources Generalist who enjoys working closely with both employees and managers in a fast-paced manufacturing and distribution environment. The Human Resources Generalist provides day-to-day support for a variety of HR functions including recruitment, employee relations, onboarding, performance management, compliance, and employee engagement. This role works closely with managers and employees to support a positive workplace culture while ensuring HR policies and practices are consistently applied. The ideal candidate is a proactive, organized, and approachable HR professional who can effectively manage multiple priorities while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Recruitment & Onboarding Assist with full-cycle recruiting activities, including job postings, resume screening, interview coordination, reference checks, and onboarding. Support hiring managers in identifying staffing needs and recruiting qualified candidates. Coordinate new hire orientation and onboarding activities. Employee Relations Serve as a resource for employees and managers regarding HR policies, procedures, and workplace concerns. Assist with employee relations matters and support workplace investigations as needed. Support managers in addressing performance concerns and employee development opportunities. Help promote a positive and respectful work environment. HR Administration & Compliance Maintain accurate employee records and HRIS data. Assist in ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws. Support the administration and communication of company policies and procedures. Prepare reports and maintain documentation as required. Benefits, Leave & Payroll Support Assist employees with benefit enrollment and benefit-related questions. Support administration of medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and 401(k) programs. Coordinate leave requests and related documentation. Work with payroll and management to ensure personnel changes are processed accurately. Safety & Workers' Compensation Support company safety initiatives and employee wellness programs. Assist with workers' compensation administration and return-to-work processes.li> Maintain records related to workplace injuries and incidents. Training & Employee Development Coordinate employee training programs and development activities. Support performance review processes and employee engagement initiatives. Assist with HR projects and organizational initiatives as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred. Minimum of 3 years of Human Resources experience. Experience in manufacturing, food production, distribution, or other operational environments preferred. Experience with recruiting, employee relations, benefits administration, and HR compliance. HR certification (SHRM-CP, PHR, etc.) is a plus. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Working knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices. Strong interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to handle confidential information with discretion. Strong problem-solving and time management skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and HRIS systems. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Physical Requirements Ability to sit, stand, and walk throughout the workday. Occasional lifting of materials up to 30 pounds. Ability to work in both office, warehouse, and plant environments. Occasional travel between company locations as needed.
