We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Dietary Cook to join our team and play a vital role in ensuring the high-quality food service we provide to our residents. About the Role: As a Dietary Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and serving nutritious meals to our residents while maintaining the highest standards of food safety and quality. You will work closely with the Food Services Director to ensure that menus are reviewed prior to food preparation and that all dietary procedures are followed. Additionally, you will perform administrative duties, organize kitchen equipment, and assist in establishing food production lines to ensure timely meal preparation. Responsibilities: Review menus prior to food preparation Perform administrative duties such as completing forms, reports, etc. Assure all dietary procedures are followed Operate kitchen equipment safely and effectively, including meat slicer, food processor, mixers, ovens, grills, steamers, dishwasher, dumb waiter, and warmer cabinets Organize walk-in freezer, storeroom, kitchen tables, and counters Assist in establishing food production line to assure meals are prepared on time Represent the community with a positive attitude and pride when interacting with potential residents and families Prepare and serve nutritious meals with high-quality presentation and flavorful options Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent Culinary Arts training a plus 2 years of dietary experience Must be able to interact effectively with residents and staff Must be able to work effectively with residents and personnel Must be able to follow written and oral instructions Must have knowledge of dietary procedures, as well as related laws, regulations, and guidelines pertaining to food service operations Must possess leadership ability and willingness to work harmoniously with and supervise professional and non-professional personnel Physical Requirements: Lift up to 50lbs Primary standing position with extended periods of standing and exposure to extreme heat and cold temperatures Join Our Team: If you are a motivated and dedicated individual with a passion for food service, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity.
