Medical Director, Adult Primary Care and Geriatrics

Position Type: Full‑Time Department: Internal Medicine: Ambulatory Location: NYC Health + Hospitals/South Brooklyn Health 2601 Ocean Parkway Brooklyn, NY 11235 Salary: $265,100 per 40‑hour week Opportunity Details Serve as the direct supervisor, provide clinical guidance, and complete performance evaluations for clinical staff. Direct, evaluate, and supervise all aspects of Adult Primary Care, Geriatrics, Same Day, Weight Management, and IDA G Family Medicine. Provide direct patient care and precept Residents in Resident practice. Collaborate with the Medicine Residency Program Directors to ensure an optimal continuity clinic experience for Medicine Residents. Develop and lead Departmental performance improvement activities. Coordinate closely with ambulatory nursing and administrative leadership. Participate in weekly departmental operations and committee meetings. Qualifications Board certification in Internal Medicine. Active or eligible for a New York State Medical License. Valid DEA registration. Minimum 3 years of practice in adult primary care, with demonstrated leadership in performance/quality improvement initiatives and/or clinical staff oversight. Experience precepting Internal Medicine Residents, preferred. Compensation and Benefits Annual base salary of $265,100, based on a 40‑hour work week. The annual total value of the compensation package is estimated at $331,610, which includes the baseline salary, 401(k) contribution, and other factors. 401(k) Company Contribution: Employees are immediately vested in a 3% contribution of base earnings; after one year of service, employees receive an additional 7% contribution of base earnings. Projected bonus of up to $40,000 (based on previous year's average), contingent upon meeting quality and productivity targets. Annual Continuing Medical Education (CME) Reimbursement. Generous Annual Paid Time Off (PTO): Vacation, Sick, Holiday, and CME days. Medical, Prescription, and Dental Coverage: Top-tier plans with employee contributions significantly below market rates. Life Insurance and AD&D Coverage: Equal to 2× salary (up to $300,000) provided at no cost to the employee.
