Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 4 years of experience License: Current RN State License required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, AWHONN, NRP, CPI Must-Have: Experience in Labor and Delivery Description: Responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to patients in the Labor and Delivery specialty. Assesses and monitors the physical, emotional, and educational needs of patients during labor and delivery. Administers medications and interventions as prescribed. Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Educates patients and families on the labor and delivery process and postpartum care. Maintains accurate and detailed patient records. Adheres to all hospital policies and procedures, including safety and infection control protocols. Participates in ongoing education and professional development activities. Demonstrates compassion and empathy in providing care. Engages in skill validation and competency assessment activities as required. Participates in quality improvement initiatives within the unit.
