Job Title: 2nd Shift Machine Operator Job Description

We are seeking a skilled 2nd Shift Machine Operator to join our team in Canton, OH. The position offers competitive pay and requires working Monday through Friday from 2 PM to 10 PM. As a Machine Operator, you will be responsible for machine set-up, tear down, and changeovers, ensuring quality throughout the run, and assembling parts into sub-units or complete units. You will interpret mechanical drawings to determine the appropriate die or punch to form parts and perform all safety and housekeeping duties.

• Set up, tear down, and changeover machines.
• Change dies and punches.
• Maintain quality throughout the run.
• Assemble parts into sub-units or complete units.
• Use blueprints to ensure proper dimensions and tolerance.
• Interpret mechanical drawings to determine appropriate dies or punches.
• Perform safety and housekeeping duties.
• Complete other duties as requested, directed, or assigned.

• Minimum of 1 year experience operating Brake Press Machine, CNC, plasma cutting machine, and/or turret/punch press machines.
• Experience with steel, stainless, and sheet metal.
• Ability to perform own setups, teardowns, and changeovers.

• Experience in editing or programming the machine is a plus.
• Experience with laser machines is a plus.

Our facility is a clean and effective working environment, with a comfortable shop floor and welcoming employees. You will be working around 50 hours per week, with potential for early or late shifts to meet production goals. Saturdays may require half shifts, and Sundays offer voluntary work at double time if 40 hours are completed during the week. The dress code includes jeans, shirts, steel-toe boots, safety glasses, and ear plugs.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of CANTON, OH.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $26.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of CANTON, OH.
