The school is a true community success story that has transformed the lives of thousands of students and their families, while breathing life back into a city that was once one of Philadelphia’s most vibrant manufacturing suburbs.Job Summary: Paraprofessional (Special Education Aide) works under the supervision of the classroom teacher and serves as a support person in the classroom. This position provides appropriate services to the students, helping to implement suggested educational activities and in monitoring student behavior.Essential Functions:Assist teachers with the logistics of instructions. Including passing out books, supplies, attendance, and making copiesAssist teachers in monitoring student’s work behaviorMonitors children during lunch and recessAssists with movement of children through hallways and onto and off busesAssists teachers with reinforcing instruction and small group learning.
