SAILN Program Specialist

The salary range for this position is $33.00 per hour depending upon qualifications and is non-negotiable.

The SAILN Program Specialist reports directly to the Director of SAILN and the Director of LARC. Working with the Director of SAILN, the Program Specialist supports the coordination and implementation of program and project activities. The position assists with day-to-day program operations, maintains project information and resources, supports communication with instructors and stakeholders, and participates in project-related work groups and committees to help ensure activities are completed effectively and on schedule.

Responsibilities

• Supports the day-to-day coordination and administration of activities related to the position.
• Create and maintain Google Forms, spreadsheets, contact lists, shared calendars, Zoom links, and organized Google Drive folders for each program year and leadership team.
• Coordinate rooms, equipment, technology setup, materials, and other logistical details needed for successful in-person, virtual, and hybrid programming
• Track registrations, attendance, participation, completion, and other program data required for internal and California Subject Matter Project reporting
• Collect program descriptions, objectives, participant feedback, and lead reflections to document outcomes and guide future improvements
• Monitor and respond to SAILN email and serve as a consistent point of contact for participants, leads, partners, and prospective educators
• Assists with identifying training opportunities, resources, and materials that support program activities.
• Supports the preparation, production, and distribution of promotional, educational, informational, and presentation materials related to program activities and initiatives.
• Supports program planning and implementation by coordinating resources, tracking activities and deliverables, and facilitating communication among project stakeholders.
• Communicates program information effectively, both orally and in writing, with a variety of internal and external stakeholders.
• Assists with the preparation and delivery of presentations, status reports, progress updates, and other program communications.
• Participates in project work groups, committees, and meetings; assists with meeting coordination, documentation, and follow-up activities.
• Assists with collecting and disseminating project information, resources, and updates to appropriate stakeholders.
• Coordinates and maintains the collection, compilation, and organization of program activity data and assists with reporting as needed.

Qualifications

• Equivalent to a bachelor's degree in appropriate field related to program/project, or additional experience may be substituted for the required education on a year for year basis
• Two years of progressively responsible experience in technical or administrative assignments.

Candidate must reside in California and live within a commutable distance from SDSU at time of hire.
