Position Title: Grounds Maintenance Manager
Reports To: Director of Facilities & Engineering
Supervises: Grounds Keepers
Summary of Position
Oversees and Facilitates personnel, tools and equipment to keep exterior grounds area of facilities in top viewing and groomed condition. Maintain all mechanical, structural and cosmetic landscapes of the facilities.

- Required to work all Marketing Special Events and Concerts.

- Reports all guest complaints and compliments to Supervisor or Manager.
- Reports all situations to Supervisor or Manager where resort grounds or equipment do not meet IMGR&C standards.

- Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following and are subject to change at management’s discretion:
- Cuts lawn using hand, power or riding mower; trims and edges around walks, flower beds, walls, etc. Plants grass, flowers, trees and shrubs; prunes shrubs and trees to shape and improve growth.
- Sprays lawns, trees and shrubs with fertilizers and insecticides.
- Removes snow and ice from building walkways and steps; may rake leaves, clean and sweep litter. May perform minor repairs and maintenance procedures on equipment utilized in grounds keeping.
- May perform routine laboring and maintenance duties when grounds keeping work has been completed.
- Must be able to maintain the physical requirements of the job.
- Must be able to prepare and implement a progressive maintenance program of grounds facilities.
- Must be able to supervise and direct all department employees in their duties and responsibility.
- Must be able to understand and impose the Team Member Handbook within your department.
- Work cohesively with other departments to address IMGR&C needs.
- Maintain facilities in top working order.
- Supervisory Responsibilities
Will have the supervision of all Ground Maintenance Personnel.
- Education and/or Experience Requirements

- High school diploma or general education diploma (GED) minimum of two years Management experience; Two to Three years Supervisory Experience or Training; Ability to work and interact with the public; Must be dependable and punctual; Pass a pre-employment drug screening; Pass a pre-employment criminal background investigation; Mescalero Apache Tribal Preference.

While performing the duties of this position, the team member is frequently required to stand, walk, use hands, to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, talk or hear. Must be able to use hand held communications devices. The team member must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. The team member must be able to stand for several hours.
