Interventional Radiology Technologist (IR Tech) – Local Contract | Evanston, IL
Favorite Healthcare Staffing is looking for an experienced Interventional Radiology Technologist (IR Tech) for a 13-week local contract in Evanston, IL! This opportunity is ideal for candidates with at least two years of recent Interventional Radiology experience, previous travel experience, and a strong background assisting with complex IR procedures. Neuro Interventional Radiology experience is highly preferred.
Interventional Radiology Technologist (IR Tech) Position Details:
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Location: Evanston, IL
- Facility Type: Acute Care Hospital
- Start Date: ASAP, with Monday start dates preferred
- Shift & Schedule: Full-time day shifts, 8-hour or 10-hour shifts
- Hours: 40 hours per week
- Weekend Requirements: No regularly scheduled weekends unless on call
- On-Call Requirements: Up to 9 call days per month, including one weekend (Friday–Sunday) per 4-week schedule and additional third-person call coverage as assigned
- Call-Back Requirements: 30 minutes for Neuro IR and 45 minutes for Body IR
- Minimum Call-Back Pay: 2 hours
- Floating Requirements: Not specified
Interventional Radiology Technologist (IR Tech) Requirements:
- At least 2 years of recent Interventional Radiology experience required
- Previous travel assignment experience required
- Neuro Interventional Radiology experience highly preferred
- Experience scrubbing and assisting Interventional Radiologists with complex IR procedures strongly preferred
- Experience with thrombectomies, pulmonary embolism interventions, uterine fibroid embolization (UFE), and Y-90 radioembolization preferred
- Ability to work efficiently in high-acuity procedural environments
- Active Illinois IEMA license required
- Active ARRT certification required
- Active BLS certification required
- Ability to meet on-call and call-back requirements
