Job Description Rotating Shift (days and nights) Registered Nurse at UW Medical Center‑Northwest – Medical‑Surgical Unit at the Center for Behavioral Health and Learning. Work Schedule 36 hours per week 3x12 shift schedule Rotating mix of day (7:00 am‑7:30 pm) and night (7:00 pm‑7:30 am) shifts. Department Description Medical‑Surgical Unit supports general acute care, telemetry monitoring, and patients with behavioral health comorbidities. 50 beds across two floors; position on third floor with 25 beds. Holistic treatment addressing physical, medical, and mental health needs. Position Highlights State‑of‑the‑art facility. Opportunity for new and experienced RNs. Primary Job Responsibilities Provide medical‑surgical care to behavioral health patients, including those with psychiatric comorbidities. Ensure patient safety protocols, including restraint protocols, are followed. Administer oral and injectable medications. Monitor vital signs using telemetry equipment. Assess and manage pain. Provide education and discharge instructions to patients and families. Offer personalized care with compassion, dignity, and respect. Requirements Active Basic Life Support (BLS). Active licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse in Washington State. Pay Range Minimum $45.59 hourly Pay Range Maximum $83.64 hourly Other Compensation BSN (or higher) premium: $1.00/hour Certification premium: $1.25/hour Night premium: $5.00/hour Weekend premium: $4.00/hour Sunday night premium: $3.00/hour Overtime pay (per applicable policy) Benefits For information about benefits for this position, visit Shift Alternate Work Shift (United States of America).
